God Gave Us The World - Book Review

God Gave Us The World is a children's book written by Lisa Tawn Bergen who, in my opinion, did a wonderful job. I don't find many books made for children, that write about God, and differences all in one. The story of the book explains how God gave us the world and everything in it, as a wonderful gift for us to take care of and treat with love and respect. There are several different areas in the world, with different people and different lifestyles, and God wants us to love each and every one. Different types of bears were used, in metaphor, to show the children that in God's world, there are several different skin colors, environments, food, ect. because God is a very creative person and wanted the world to be fun and exciting, not boring where everything is the same. He gave us differences to make the world a happier place!
I think this book is very good to help children understand that just because someone may look different then them, doesn't mean they can't be nice to them and be friends. I would recommend it to any parent!! In fact, I think all children should be started young on books like these, so children can be taught at a young age to treat every one with respect and equality.

I am glad my son enjoyed this book...he is anxious for more :) The God Gave Us Christmas one especially :)
