I'm a mother who wanted so badly to be able to breastfeed my child. I tried everything possible, that I knew of then. Even consulting a lactation expert. But when a life circumstance comes into place, and for reasons it just doesn't happen, formula had to come in. That doesn't make me a bad mom, that doesn't mean I'm worse then a mom who could breastfeed. That means I did the best I could for my child, giving him formula to survive. I'm fed up with the people who look down on those who do things differently then they think it should be done. Not everyone is the same or has the same abilities. This is why I took the pledge to support moms. A mom knows what is best for her child and should be able to make their best possible decision and feel proud.
The StrongMoms Empower campaign is brought to you by Similac, in hopes to create a more supportive and less judgmental environment, online and off.
