Let There Be Light - Book Review

Let There Be Light is a children's story book written by the Nobel Peace Prize Winner, Archbishop Desmond Tutu,
and illustrated by New York times bestselling author of
On the Night You Were Born, Nancy Tillman.

This book is filled with beauty and warmth, retelling the Biblical story of God's creation on each of the seven days, written in a way children can understand and love. The beginning of the book has a place to dedicate the book to, then a letter from the author and illustrator. I've never seen letters written in the beginning of a story book, and I kind of like it! Each of these letters are filled with words of encouragement like
"you are part of something truly amazing!" and
"without you the world would not be quite as bright and beautiful."
Each page has a hidden picture of a mystical being, whether it is suppose to be God or an angel, the illustrator puts it as"God's world is magical and magnificent. God has put color everywhere! As you explore the pictures in this book, look for it in unexpected places. I'll bet you'll find it!" My son had a lot of fun finding the picture on each page. I liked that it was able to get across Bible stories in a way he can understand. This book is just too cute to pass up. It is truly beautiful!

Buttons Cloth Diaper's

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Buttons Diapers are an affordable option to cloth diapering.
These diapers consists of two parts: a high quality waterproof PUL diaper cover that is made to fit babies from 9-35 pounds,
and an absorbent insert made of microfiber fleece to be soft on the babies bum, snapping right in place on to the diaper cover so it stays put without any bunching. Since the diaper fits snuggly on the babys tush,  the amount of leaking should be none or minimal.

These diapers are not only cute, but they are also really absorbent and great for growing with your baby. I love the fact that they fit up to 35lbs,
so you can get a good amount of usage,
while saving on money. Buttons Diapers are available in many colors, and each one has a little red button embroidered on the booty. This is a cute idea considering the name of the diaper company ;)
{It kinda makes me wish the words "Lil Button Booty" were embroidered on it as well haha.}

Each Buttons Diaper Cover is $11, with the inserts ranging between $3.50 and $10.50 (for2) or you can purchase a trial kit that contains a Diaper Cover
and 3 daytime diaper inserts for $21.00.

If you like them, they also sell Basic, Deluxe and Starter kits as well!
So if you're looking for a budget friendly cloth diaper for your little one, give these a try!

*Buttons Diapers also sells wipes, liners, wet bags and giftcards.
You can find more information on Buttons Diapers at, Also visit them on Facebook and Twitter.

Bounty Ditch & Switch

Awhile back I received the Bounty Ditch & Switch kit from Housekeeping, that contained a dishcloth, a small plastic baggy, an icepack, and a return envelope, with the instructions to follow
on how they will be testing my dishcloth.

I used their provided washcloth for 3 days straight, then rinsed it out once, on the day of shipping. I placed it in their provided baggy with their ice pack and shipped it off to them, to test how many germs my dishcloth had. They did the test and my results came back. They weren't as bad as the usual persons, which I'm not surprised because I like to keep my house clean lol, but the results were still gross. I don't like the idea of spreading germs across my counter tops, when I'm trying to get them clean. Who does? So Bounty encouraged me, and all the other people who received this kit, to switch to Bounty's new DuraTowel paper towels, that are said to be 3x cleaner then the dishcloth. They sent me a free coupon to test it out, and I loved them! DuraTowels are absorbent, thick, and get the job done...however, they can get pricey, and are not exactly ecofriendly :/ Yes, we are a family that uses Bounty paper towels on occasion, but we get Bounty's Basic,
they still do just as good of a job, and I don't feel as bad, for wasting such thick papers lol.

Did you get to be a part of Bounty's DuraTowel test?
If so, what's your take on them?

Whatever You Grow Up to Be - Book Review

Whatever You Grow Up to Be by Karen Kingsbury, illustrated by Valeria Docampo, is a children's book about the journey of a mother watching her son grow up, all the way from childhood to fatherhood. She sees the possibilities of her son, and watches as God's plan for him unravels, it's a truly touching read.

It's cute that the mama in the book is saying her son "whatever you grow up to be" yet giving options based on things the little boy does at that age. It's a sweet book and a little reminder that your baby is growing up, and it happens faster then we know. I really love the illustrations that were done, and it really portrays what little boys are like. I feel like the story ended too abrupt though. It was cute to throw in that the little boy had a baby of his own and the mama turned into grandma, with excitement in seeing her grandbaby grow too, but I wasn't ready for the story to end. I feel it could have been a little bit longer, but that might just be, because it was too cute to end. It made me feel sentimental, as I am a mama, watching my little boy grow, seeing the possibilities he is becoming, and the young man he is turning into. This would make a great keepsake book! A special gift to an expecting mom of a little boy.

Each page has a Bible verse listed on the bottom,
my favorite verse was the one the book was ended on:

"For I know the plans I have for you", declares the Lord,
"plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."
 -Jeremiah 29:11

American Jewel Hair Tie Review

Disclosure: I received this as part of an advertorial.
It's been a long time coming, but after working through some company issues, I am finally reviewing the long awaited for: American Jewel Hair Tie's! These hair ties are handmade in California, made to gently slide on your hair without the pain of pulling your hairs out. They leave no annoying hair dents behind so you can throw your hair up, and take it down without the worries of an odd messy look. Some of the hair ties have a cute little diamond charm on them, which makes a nice addition to your daily style. There are several choices of hair ties to choose from, ranging from all different colors and charms, made specifically to match your style needs.
*These hair ties are lead free and said to never rust or fade.

The American Jewel Hair Tie's are not only cute for little girls, but girls of all ages..even adults! And you can use them in all hair types, whether it be long, short, thick or thin, you can style your hair with them. I love the fact that you could wear the hair tie as a bracelet or anklet too!

Each pack contains 3 hair ties. The ones I received were a light pastel pink, with one charm hair tie, and black with two hair ties containing charms, a cute diamond bow and a diamond circle. My favorite is the bow :) And I like that the charm isn't stuck in place so you can rotate it around to whichever side you need it on. The band of the hair tie is very stretchy, but somewhat thin, so it slightly worries me on how durable these ties are, but only time will tell in that!

For more information on American Jewel Hair Ties, visit or you can find them on Facebook or Twitter.

*I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free from American Jewel Hair Ties, and in using Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

I Like Giving - Book Review Like Giving is a motivational self help book written by Brad Formsma, about experiencing the joy in giving. It contains inspiring stories and practical suggestions to help you create a lifestyle of generosity,
improving yourself and the world around you.

I really enjoyed this book. Reading all the stories of others experiences in giving really makes you think about how much you yourself give to other people. It's truly encouraging and leaves me wanting to find ways to help others, brightening their day, even if it's just something as simple as genuinely smiling to each person you see. I like how the author explains that you can give to one another, even if you don't have the money to spare. That you don't have to give something drastic to make someone happy.  He says, "Of course a gift doesn't need to be as large and expensive as a water heater or an iPhone. Just be mindful to be a blessing.
Sometimes the perfect gift can be something smaller-as small as a banana cream pie."
Just be mindful to be a blessing. That is the best part of the quote. You can be a blessing with just the shirt on your back, the smile on your face, or the help your hands can do. Helping one another starts a ripple affect. This book mentions that a lot as well. You help one person, that person helps another, and so on. We can bring more peace to this world just by opening our hearts to one another and being helpful! There's a lot of encouraging stories in I Like Giving, I really recommend you read this book!

You can find more information on I Like Giving, by visiting or their Twitter page, as well as as reading the first chapter HERE

Vaseline Spray Lotion for Men Review

Awhile back, I had the chance to review Vaseline's new Spray on Lotion for Women, but this time around, I get to review the new fast absorbing Vaseline Spray Lotion for Men!

Vaseline spray lotion is a quick way to moisturize your skin when you don't have the time to wait for it to dry. It moisturizes like normal lotion, and your skin absorbs it within seconds, leaving you feeling great, and smelling good too. My husband says he doesn't like the smell of this lotion, and that it suits a man in his 50's rather then a man in his late 20's. I think the smell isn't awful, but I kind of agree, it matches the scent of an older man then a young adult. My husband said he doesn't like the idea of lotion being in an aerosol can, even if it is drying faster, he much rather prefer lotion in its
original stage of a tube or pump bottle.

The plus side of Vaseline Spray Lotion is that it isn't greasy or sticky and the scent lingers throughout the day. It also comes in two different formulas: Fast Absorbing -which is what I reviewed, and Fast Cooling which cools and hydrates within seconds.
Both have 24 hour moisturization, made to keep your skin soft all day.

You can find Vaseline Men Spray Lotion in stores for a retail price of $7.99 for a 6.5 oz can.

Tone Body Wash Review

Want to get a spa experience at home? Check out Tone's Body Wash! It is made with spa-inspired ingredients, that that will make your mind drift off into a beautiful spa experience ;)

As a Bzzagent, I was sent a bottle of Tone Body Wash in the scent: Pink Peony & Rose Oil. It smells so good! I love how soft it feels on my skin, and that the smells fills up my bathroom while I shower. A little bit goes a long way, when the soap is lathered up on my loofah sponge, making this a long lasting body wash that I can savor. The smell even lingers in the bathroom for awhile, after I'm done with my shower so that's awesome. I love soaps with a good, long lasting scent, especially ones that leave my skin as moisturized as Tone does! I can't wait to try the other scents of Tony Body Wash!

Check them out here.

Tone Body Wash is available for purchase in most stores
for approximately $4.99 for an 18oz. bottle.

Royal Canin Feline Cat Food -For Ragdolls Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
Royal Canin Feline Breed Nutrition is cat food designed specifically for a breed of cat. Since each breed of cat has a different physiological makeup and nutritional need, several veterinarians and breeders partnered up in years of research to develop these specific formulas.
Royal Canin comes ready made for the following cat breeds:
Maine Coon, Siamese, Ragdoll and Persian.
I received Royal Canin for a Ragdoll cat, for my mom's 14 year old cat to try. She loved it!! With one sniff, she dug right in.
You could tell she was enjoying it!

Royal Canin Feline Breed Nutrition for Ragdolls is a complete and balanced diet for your kitty, giving it several of the nutrients needed. It contains taurine, EPA, and DHA for cardiac support, Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids to help the cats coat and skin health, and essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients,
helping maintain their healthy bones and joints. The kibble is designed for
the jaws of a Ragdoll cat, aiding in the best eating possible.
The final analysis on this cat food, according to Pet food Direct, is that it contains A minimum of 30% Crude Protein, a minimum of 16% Crude Fat, a maximum of 5.8% Crude Fiber, and a maximum of 8% Moisture. The top 10 ingredients of Royal Canin for Ragdolls are Chicken by-product meal, brown rice, corn, corn gluten meal, chicken fat, wheat, wheat gluten, natural flavors, pea fiber, and brewers rice. It all sounds good, but I've done some research on corn being in animals foods, and I've found that it tends to cause allergies in some pets, as it is hard on their digestion. I've also found that some "by-product" ingredients can be consisting of feathers, bones, and other things I just can't imagine a kitty being able to digest. So if you want the best food possible for your kitty, be sure to shop around
and really pay attention to the ingredients in the cat food.

*Royal Canin Feline Breed Nutrtition is made for Ragdoll cats 12 Months and older.
You can find Royal Canin Feline Breed Nutrition in several pet food stores. You can also purchase it at for $33.99 for a 7lb bag.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Kiss Looks So Natural Lashes

Having long eyelashes has been such a big part in beauty, and sometimes, mascara just doesn't give you that look you're trying to achieve. Kiss Looks So Natural Lashes are fake eye lashes that definitely give those lashes some volume! They are made with a Tapered End Technology so the lashes will blend in with your natural lashes, highlighting your eyes, while giving you an almost natural look and feel. The lashes are light and soft, making you almost forget they're even on.

To be honest, I am not fond of fake eye lashes. I was blessed with a length I love, so I have never felt the need to lengthen them. It also seems slightly scary to me, to apply adhesive to your eye lids! But some people do it..and if you're going to do it, I would suggest these KISS lashes.

KISS lashes are available at Walgreen's & CVS stores Nationwide at a retail price of $3.99 You can also visit KISS on Facebook and Twitter.

Red Rose Simply Indulgent Teas

Red Rose Simply Indulgent Teas are made with handcrafted black tea, blended with a specially developed natural flavor extract, making unique flavors to suit your needs. As of now, they have eight flavors to choose from: Cinnamon Streusel, Creme Caramel, Peach Cobbler, Lemon Chiffon,
Vanilla Biscotti, Spiced Chai, Sweet Mint, and Cinnamon Bun.
Of those flavors, inside my J'Adore Vox Box, Influenster sent me
Creme Caramel and Lemon Chiffon to review.
The Creme Caramel tea is good, it has a nice flavor and it isn't too sweet or overpowering. My son said it smelled like Cotton Candy :) The Lemon Chiffon tea was also good. It has just the right amount of lemon flavor and it's not too sweet. It is one of Red Roses decaffeinated teas as is the Cinnamon Streusel. Between the two, I'd say my favorite was the Creme Caramel tea.
It's perfect for a cold winter day!

Red Rose Simply Indulgent Teas are available in most grocery stores,
at the price of $4.49 for a pack of 20 tea bags.

For more information on Red Rose tea visit
as well as Red Rose on Facebook and Twitter.
