Daily Goodie Box - April 2019

Disclaimer: I received the following product(s) in exchange for my review. All opinions my own.

I'm happy to receive and share with you, another Goodie Box, this time for the month of April! There were many health friendly items in this box, which included the following:

I loved the concept of Tickle Water, being a kid friendly sparkling water, with just a hint of flavor. It's really bland with next to no carbonation so if your children are use to drinking soda, they might not like this.

I find myself getting heartburn quite a bit, so having a good antacid on hand is just what I need. These wafers have an interesting flavor and pleasant texture, much better then the chalky Tums or Rolaids. I find that they take awhile to kick in and sometimes don't seem to help the heartburn at all. But I enjoy them after a good meal.

Real Chemistry - Environmental Rescue Daily Serum
I didn't notice much, while using this product. It has a great smell, similar to that of roses, but the serum felt really sticky putting on. It dried well and allowed my normal moisturizer to be applied over top just fine. I think I needed a bigger product to test it for long term though.

This was an interesting tea to try. It works as an Energizer with no negative effects. It also helps keep stress down and promotes alertness. I liked drinking it cold with ice.
 Kokokahn - Breathe Aromatherapy Inhaler
This mini nasal inhaler is a literal breath of fresh air when my nose is feeling a little stuffy. The strong peppermint scent opens my passageways and allows me to breathe more clearly. I love the chilly after effect as well.

I love enjoying a bag of trail mix and this one did not disappoint. It was the perfect size for an afternoon snack and I of course loved the chocolate M&M's most!!

This medical balm is great for on the go moisturizer. It fits compact inside your purse or pocket, ready for when you need it. I love that you can use it on your lips and skin, and that it contains vitamins and cold pressed chamomile extract.

Saffron Road - Dark Chocolate Crunchy Chickpeas
If you're craving something chocolate and something crunchy, these are the perfect snack for you! They have an excellent flavor and are very enjoyable to munch on. I do wish they were a little softer, but overall we really enjoyed these!

I've enjoyed trying another batch of products and looking forward to the next! Would you like to try your in Goodie Box for free? Join the Daily Goodie Box to receive your own set of products to test!

Sausage And Pancakes On A Stick + Recipe

I came across the delicious and easy recipe from thrillist.com, to make Sausage and Pancakes on a stick. They are so easy to make, and very similar to corndogs, just the batter tastes like a fried pancake, and the meat inside is a breakfast sausage! To make these delicious little breakfast on a stick dogs, you need the following ingredients:

 1 ½ cups flour + 2 tablespoons for dusting
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk
1 large egg
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
12 breakfast sausage links
2qts oil for frying
12 wooden sticks
Syrup for Dipping

Begin by heating the 2qt oil in a pot. In a mixing bowl, mix together all the ingredients, dry ingredients first, then add in the wet ones and mix thoroughly. Let batter sit, while cooking the sausages. I used Banquet's Brown & Serve Fully Cooked Maple Sausages, and fried them in my cast iron, to give them some char. Once done to your liking, transfer sausage to a paper towel lined plate, to help reduce some of the grease. Let sausage cool enough to handle, then add them to a bowl of the 2Tbs flour saved for dusting. Transfer the previously made batter into a tall container, such as a drinking jar or glass. Put sticks through your powdered sausage, and dip the sausage into the batter. Place sticks of battered sausage into your oil and fry until golden brown. Allow finished dogs to drain on a wire rack, then dip them into warm maple syrup, and enjoy! If you have any left over batter, it also works to make fried pickles. (see above photo next to dogs) Follow the same process, slice your pickles, coat them in a flour bath, dunk them in the batter and fry. You can also drop plain batter directly into the oil, and make mini "beignets". Just add powdered sugar! There are so many things you could make with the recipe!

An Easter Prayer Touch and Feel - Book Review

Disclaimer: I received the following product(s) in exchange for my review. All opinions my own.

An Easter Prayer written by Amy Parker and illustrated by Alison Edgson, is a beautiful touch-and-feel Easter book for children. It's simple and sweet, describing bits of Spring with warm sunshine, rain, and flowers.

Each page has a new texture to find and feel, which is perfect for teaching kids about different textures. The art on each page is soft and inviting, featuring baby chicks and bunnies that give it that Springy Easter feel. Young children will love to have this book read to them. It is such a cute book and would make the perfect addition to your little ones Easter Basket!!

Laird Superfood Creamers + Get 20% Off! *

Are you looking for a healthier alternative to creamer?

Laird Superfood Creamers are made with simple ingredients, and are better for you than other creamers with a lot of sugars added in. This creamer has 4g or less of low-glycemic coconut sugar per serving and it's made with all-natural, whole food ingredients. It also contains Aquamin, which is a multi-mineral complex that is rich in calcium, magnesium, and 72 trace minerals. The creamer is vegan and Paleo friendly, also free of stevia, dairy, soy, gluten, and GMOs.

I recently had the chance to test the Laird Superfood Creamers in original and cacao flavors. This is such a great product if you're looking for a healthier creamer. I like that you can have the option for a vanilla coconutty flavor and a chocolate coconutty flavor. They equally go great in hot drinks such as coffee, tea, or cocoa.

You add about a tbs to your hot drink and mix. The powder mixes well in hot liquids, especially when you use a power operated frother whisk. I added some of the creamer to my hot cocoa and it tasted delicious, like an Almond Joy Candy Bar, with a bit of cream. Definitely recommend! The creamer doesn't need refrigerated so you can travel easily with it and store it as you please. This is the perfect creamer for coconut lovers!

Jelly Bean Blessings - Book Review

Disclaimer: I received the following product(s) in exchange for my review. All opinions my own.

Jelly Bean Blessings by Tommy Nelson Kid's and illustrated by Maddie Frost, is an adjective filled children's book perfect for Spring!

It talks of all the joyful and fun things you can do in the springtime; picking flowers, jumping in rain puddles, planting a garden, flying kites and riding bikes, and so much more! Every day is a blessing and Spring is a great reminder for that.

I love the illustrations, all the cute little animals, colorful images, and exciting backgrounds. You can point out the hidden images kids will love to count and see, such all the many jellybeans throughout the grass, the little garden bugs, and all the food that different characters are eating. It's really a gorgeous springtime book and would be perfect for Springtime birthdays, Easter baskets, baby showers, and more!

You can find Jelly Bean Blessings available for purchase at the Faith Gateway Store on Amazon.
