On a Coastal Breeze - Book Review

Disclaimer: I received the following product(s) in exchange for my review. All opinions my own.

On a Coastal Breeze by Suzanne Woods Fisher is a contemporary romance novel and part of the Three Sisters Island book series. The story is about a woman named Madison Grayson who is a licensed marriage and family therapist who recently started up her practice. She awaits to receive potential clients, while finding a good balance in her life. She feels at peace and focused, ready to accomplish her day to day work, but then someone new arrives in town and everything changes.

Upon hearing his name, Madison Grayson realizes that the new person in town is Ricky O'Shea, an enemy from her childhood, that she felt, was set out to ruin everything in her life. She never forgave him for the annoyance he caused, so seeing him back in town really uprooted the peace she had been feeling. Especially when she found out he is the new Pastor of her church!

I've been enjoying seeing how this story unfolds. It's an obvious romance story, and I like reading about the past memories each one holds. It's also funny to read how Madison starts falling for Ricky, even though she really doesn't want to. Their second chance on knowing each other again, forgiving the past, and moving on to a better future is a great encouragement and made for an excellent read! Perfect to read while sitting outside in the sunshine!

You can find On a Coastal Breeze available for purchase on Amazon as well as other bookstore sites.

Seventh Generation's Mandarin & Yuzu Body Wash

Disclaimer: I received the following product(s) in exchange for my review. All opinions my own.

I recently got the chance to try Seventh Generation's Body Wash in the scent: Mandarin & Yuzu. I love that this way is better for your skin, but the smell is unfortunately a huge turn off. It makes me think of orange peels that have been sitting in old dishwater lol..a scent that is really hard to explain but I'm not fond of. I would love to try their other scents as each one is made with Shea butter and really does treat the skin better!

Not only are these products good for our skin, the Seventh Generation Body Washes are made with water friendly formulas that help protect the waterways and reduce ocean waste, so they're better for our environment as well! AND 25 cents of every sale goes to the Clean Water Action to help provide clean drinking water.

You can find the Seventh Generation Body Wash available for purchase online and in a store near you. You can also visit seventhgeneration.com for more products and information

Hopping on the Dalgona Coffee Bus

So I've been hearing all the rage about Dalgona Coffee and how good it is and how easy it is to make. I decided to get on the Dalgona Coffee Bus and try it out for myself. It really is extremely easy to make! And it only takes 3 ingredients, which you then pour over your choice of a milk-like drink.

To make Dalgona Coffee, you need the following ingredients:

2 TBS Instant Coffee
2TBS Hot Water
2 TBS Sugar

I cut the recipe in half and used a packet of Folgers instant coffee for mine. So in a little glass jar, I added in 1 TBS of Hot Water, a little less than 1 TBS of sugar, and the instant coffee packet. I then used my frother and frothed away until it was whipped to perfection. This makes such a beautiful color and looks good being poured over your drink!

A lot of people pour it over milk or Almond Milk, but you can really do whatever you want. I had a Vanilla Cappuccino drink that I poured mine on and it was delicious! I also only used half of this mixture I made, so it didn't turn out as pretty as other peoples Dalgona Coffees, but it was still fun to experiment!

Today We Saved a Bee

Today we saved a Bee!

I was in the garage and noticed a bug on the floor...which I was ready to squish because I thought it was a spider! I had my son grab the flashlight so I could take a better look at it, and I noticed it was a little bee, just laying there. I put a clear cup over it (so it couldn't fly at my face and sting me lol) and I also wanted to see if it was even still alive. The little guy slowly started walking around, so I slipped a piece of paper under the cup and my son carried it to our backyard. We set it down, removing the cup so it could go where it wanted. The bee started crawling, but then tipping over and falling everywhere. I quickly made it a small bowl of sugar water and the next few happenings were amazing! It crawled right up to the bowl and started drinking. I saw its tongue out and everything haha. It drank for a good minute, and then crawled onto a piece of moss next to it.

My son brought over some flowers from the Mexican Orange Bush we have in the corner of our yard, and the bee knew just what to do. Crawl on them, give himself a good clean, and rest. He sat there for a good amount of time, maybe 15 minutes or so. Then he crawled to the top of the flowers and acted as if he was King of the Garden. Then flew away! I guess the lil guy just need some good TLC and that sugar water helped clean him right up. It was so fascinating watching the bee and feeling those good feelings inside, that we helped him survive. Now he can go pollinate flowers and bring good to the world!

Super Easy 2-4 Ingredient Sweet Potato Rolls

These are the easiest Sweet Potato Rolls you could ever make, that literally call for just two ingredients!! 1 cup of Sweet Potatoes and 1 cup of Self Rising Flour. Though if you don't have self rising flour, it calls for a few more ingredients, to bring that total to a whopping 4 ingredients lol. The 4 ingredient sweet potato roll recipe is below:

1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of sweet potato

Mix all of the ingredients together to form a nice kneadable ball, and break off dough into 6 pieces. Roll each dough piece into their own separate ball, set them on greased baking sheet, and bake in the oven at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes. So so easy and tastes great with several different foods! I added extra seasoning to mine for a more savory taste. A little Garlic powder and a little Onion powder add a nice flavor. You could even add sugar and cinnamon instead, for a sweet roll!

Finding Hidden Treasures When Least Expected

You know when you just have one of those days...you could really use some chocolate but there's none in the house? Well I decided to clean out our pantry and organize it a bit more...sorting the boxes of cereal and crackers, checking expiration dates, and re-stacking the oatmeal packets...

I had found a mini Snicker Bar hiding in one of the baskets!! It just knew that I was meant to find it that day. I enjoyed the tiny but oh so delicious piece of chocolate, and of course, after I ate it, I wish I had more :) I love finding joy in the simple things. They really make life more enjoyable!

Eat Your Drink: Mocha Espresso Martini Cocktail Candy

Disclaimer: I received the following product(s) in exchange for my review. All opinions my own.

Have you ever wanted the taste of a certain cocktail beverage but didn't want the actual drink? Or maybe you couldn't have a drink in the location your were in. With Eat Your Drink, you can enjoy your choice of Cocktail flavored gummy candy in just two or three bites! Each gummy contains a percentage of alcohol, that brings the sweet in every bite.

I recently got to try the Mocha Espresso Martini Cocktail Gummy and it tastes like the real deal! I was shocked with how well the amount of alcohol is disguised by the good flavor. This particular gummy contains 40% of Vodka, as well as 25% Coffee Liqueur, Chocolate Bitters, and Freeze Dried Coffee. The gummy is coated in sugar, much like the rim of a mochatini glass would be!

This is a great item to have (for adults only) at parties, but be careful how many you eat, not sure how quick you will feel a buzz but you will definitely feel the sugar! ;) You can find a variety of Eat Your Drink Cocktail Candies at smithandsinclair.com as well as other information and products.
