  I received another fun Goodie Box for the month of December, and this one had probably been my favorite yet! So many yummy items in this one. Check them out below! 

Rise Brewing Co - Oat Milk Vanilla Latte -

I wasn't very fond of this flavor due to the extra oaty taste. I think that if the oats were a little less strong, and the vanilla was more heightened, it would make this drink much better.

Green Goo - Pain Relief -

I like the scent of this pain relief goo, because it's not too strong and overwhelming like a lot of other products are. Unfortunately I haven't noticed it help any pained areas yet, but it has a relaxing tone and is good for massages.

COBA - Coffee Chocolate Bar -

I had this sitting in my pantry, thinking it was a bar you pour hot water over, to produce a cup of hot coffee. But then I realized it's actually a bar you eat, like candy! 🤦‍♀️ And once I realized this, I was quite pleased because this bar is delicious!! It has a similar taste to chocolate covered espresso beans, but without the flaky pieces. It tastes so good and the texture is like a piece of chocolate. My favorite part of this Goodie Box!

 

Toast! - Before You Drink Gummies - It's not often that I drink to achieve a next day hangover, but if I do, having gummies to eat ahead of time can be pretty helpful on the head. However, the taste these gummies have are awful. They taste very similar to multivitamins, or the numbing stuff the dentist puts on your teeth before a filling haha. Not the greatest tasting gummy out there, but if they work, why not!

Little Secrets Chocolate - Peppermint Pieces In Dark Chocolate - These little peppermint pieces were so good! The peppermint flavor was strong but it mixed well with the chocolate. It was like eating minty M&M's but they taste better for you!

 

Bushwick Kitchen - Meyer Lemon Honey Sticks - I use to love these honey sticks when I was a kid! I've never seen a spicy flavor like this before though. The spice is very strong, and mixes well with the honey, if you like that kind of thing. I prefer my honey to be sweet, but this is great for those that like spicy! The honey drizzles out nicely, and would be fantastic on a more savory food. These might make a fun gift to share with those that like a little spice on their food! 

Nailak - Cuticle & Nail Oil -
This nail oil is especially good to put on my nails in the winter, where they tend to need a little extra tlc. I haven't noticed any difference since using, but I do like the way my nails feel after I apply the oil. They feel moisturized and taken care of. 

 

Kirk's Soap - 3in1 Head to Toe Nourishing Cleanser -

This soap was pleasant, with a faint scent. It lathered well and made lots of bubbles, while cleansing my skin. I like that it's sensitive skin friendly and didn't seem to dry my skin out. I felt clean and fresh after each use.

DIY Gift Bag From Wrapping Paper

If you need a last minute Gift Bag, but all you have on hand is wrapping paper, and absolutely no calico bags in sight, then check out this simple way to turn paper into a bag that you can gift your presents in!

 

First you will need the supplies... a box (or something square/rectangle shaped), scissors, tape, a glue stick, and your choice of wrapping paper. You begin by cutting the wrapping paper to the size of the box. An ordinary shoe box works great. You fold the paper over on the box, leaving an inch or so of space, and cut the shape of a square or rectangle. 

 

    Once you have your shape, fold about an inch or two of the top over, gluing it down to produce a nice clean look. Then take the paper and wrap it around the box you used, taping the end, while pressing the sides to give a form to the bag. On the end of the bag, wrap it as you would if you were wrapping your box, tape and all. Then slowly pull the box from the bag and it should be complete! 

 

 

   Do some extra creasing on the edges to give it a cleaner look, and for it to stand up better. You can also add handles to the top of your bag. I would suggest putting in a piece of card stock on the bottom of the bag, to give it better support. 

 

 

   Once you get the hang of it, it takes no time to make this bag, so it's great for last second ideas. But if you're only using wrapping paper for this, make sure not to hold heavy items inside. You could attempt to make smaller versions of these bags with construction paper, Newspaper, Chip Bags, and more! 

 

Decorating For Christmas With Pre-Lit Pine Garland

   I love decorating for the holidays, and having a staircase and a mantel to decorate for Christmas makes it all the more fun!! I've been looking for garlands for that reason, so I'm happy to come upon this set. I like that it can be two 9 foot garlands, or one whole garland at 18 foot. 

 

   A nice feature is that these pine garlands come prepped with lights already intertwined so it saves time and money, but still gets the job done right. I do wish they were a bit thicker but that doesn't stop them from being beautiful! I draped one Garland across my mantel and it looks so nice! Still trying to figure out where I want to hang the other one, due to plugin set up in the house, but I know I will find a place soon and it will look so good! These garland's are affordable and really add that extra holiday spirit to your home. I love that they can be hung literally anywhere, above windows, across the mantel, around poles and stair railings, and so much more. I highly recommend!

Wooden Standing Trees for Winter Decor

   I love the simple decor for holidays, and this stand of trees does not disappoint! It's very cute and looks good as is or painted. I like that it's ready to paint or even stain, depending on your preference. You can really just make this piece personal to match your decor and it will look cute any way! The wood is soft and sanded well so there are no slivers or sharp pieces sticking up. And the bottom you can see where each tree was screwed in, so you could probably remove some if wanted, or take it apart for easier storing. I love the simplistic feel to it. And it looks so cute displayed on my for Christmas!

DIY Christmas Cardboard Gingerbread House Garland

     I'm a big fan of making your own decor so you don't have to store a bunch of stuff, that only gets used once a year. So when I was trying to think of some cute Christmas decorations, I came across the idea to make little Gingerbread Houses. This idea is so easy and it makes a great looking holiday Garland, just using what you have on hand. For this project, I gathered the supplies I needed. Cardboard, scissors, string, and white paint. 

 

   I cut the shapes of houses I wanted, some with rounded roofs, some with pointy ... then I began painting. I gave each house a different design of windows and doors. Once the paint dried, I hung each house onto some string, using mini clothespins I had, but you could also hole punch the tops or just thread some string through. I put the newly made garland on my wall and I'm really pleased with how cute it turned out! And once the season is over, I can either choose to hold on to these little houses for the next year, because they're thin and really take up no space, or I can throw them away and if the desire strikes, I can make them again next year!

Holiday Decor on a Budget : Thanksgiving Style

 

   If you like to decorate for the Holidays, but hate spending tons of money on items that only gets used one month out of the year, or maybe cant quite afford the price of decor...I totally get it. It's costly and takes up space for the other 11 months that it is not being used. Because of this, I try to use what I have on hand, to make my holiday decor, or I look for items that can be reused, fit more holidays than just one, and also fit the budget! So I will share with you a list of budget friendly ideas to decorate for the holidays. 

 

* Make a diy Thanksgiving Garland using only what you have on hand. Check out what I made here, and it didn't cost me a thing.

* Use brown paper bags as table coverings or place-mats for the kids to draw hand turkeys on. Doubles as decor and fun!

 

* Frame up some free printables to match the holiday theme. A few places you can find them are at: How To Nest For Less, Juggling Act Mama, and Today's Fabulous Finds just to name a few.

* Forage in the great outdoors for leaves and branches that can be dried out and used as decor. Branches work great in a jar or vase, and dried leaves can be used to make garlands, table decor, and more! 

 

* Hunt for the best deals! I am part of several Facebook Groups that share deals on holiday decor and more, so you really can get up to 90% off on some items, and save big time.

 

* And last but not least..purchase retail end of season decor on mega sales, to enjoy for the next year!

Make a Thanksgiving Garland with What You Have on Hand

   Rather than spending tons of money on Thanksgiving decor, I like to use what I have on hand to see what I can make! Of course I like to look for good deal items, but sometimes even those can be pricey. So I whipped together a Thanksgiving Garland using only what I had on hand. 

 

   I started with some thick brown card-stock paper, but really you can use any paper you like, even a brown paper bag! I cut the card-stock into the size and shape I wanted for my letters to be displayed on, and then got to painting. I used the color Magnolia White, but again you can do any color you like, and I painted a wispy design on them to kind of make a rustic look, then used black paint for the letters. You can decide whatever you want your garland to say... I went with "Be Thankful" because it's a great reminder for me to see everyday :) 

 

   Once the paint dried, I hooked some string across the wall and secured the squares with mini clothespins, (you could also use tape or paperclips) hung it up on the wall and walah! Thanksgiving Garland done and it didn't cost me a thing, accept for what I already had on hand!

Heat Holders - Thermal Socks -

These socks are comfy cozy and great at keeping your feet warm. They're thick and soft on the feet, making them must haves for winter. I also like that they are black so they match my clothing!

Essential Elements - Hydration Mix -

   These Hydration drinks are actually really good, despite them containing Apple Cider Vinegar. They mix well in water and hydrate with each drink. They're a bit tart, but the Watermelon-Cucumber flavor was my favorite. 

Tiesta Tea - Pomegranatopia- This tea has a very fragrant aroma, making you think it will taste extremely sweet. But surprisingly, the flavor is very faint. It makes me think of peaches, which is odd because there aren't any peaches in there, but it makes a relaxing drink to sip on.

Kirks Soap - Gentle Castile Bar Soap - This soap has a great scent and lathers well. It left my skin feeling soft and clean. I love that it is gentle and gmo free.

Aroma Naturals - Lavender Hand Sanitizer Gel - This sanitizer spray has a nice and clean lavender scent, and it's better for the skin with aloe and vitamin E. This is probably one of my more favorite hand sanitizers I have tried!

Zint Nutrition - Collagen Powder - The bad thing about Collagen Powders is that they don't mix well in cold drinks, and the powdery collagen taste is pretty strong. I do like that this one is grass fed, great for hair skin and nails, but I wish I couldn't taste the collagen so well.

Zolli Candy - Zolli Ball Popz - The Zolli Ball Pops are an excellent treat if you or your little ones are craving a candy treat. Made sugar free and better for your teeth, with awesome fruity flavors!

Little Secrets Chocolate - Peanut Butter in Dark Chocolate Crispy Wafers - I really thought these little wafers would be good, but they were not very great. They did have a nice crunch, but the flavor was lacking.

Celebrate Lights Up Mini Halloween Pumpkin

This adorable little pumpkin brings a lot of character in it's lit up jack-o'-lantern smile. I love that it's affordable and that the batteries are included, so it's ready to go when you get it. The plastic it's made of is very thin and lightweight, so I worry if it falls it will easily break, but if it's just sitting looking cute, it should last through the season. I love seeing its face lit up on my mantle, because it just looks so cheery! And if you don't want to see the face, just turn it over to the other side! It's a great piece to have through the Fall.

I love many of Pioneer Woman's products, from her recipes, to all the amazing kitchen supplies, she has a beautiful line of items waiting to be added to your kitchen. One of my new favorites is this adorable comfort mat! If you know me, you know I like biscuits and gravy so this is perfect!

 

  

 The "I Love You Like Biscuits and Gravy" mat is so cute and looks great sitting on the floor in front of the kitchen sink. The mat is the perfect size, and the cushion feels comfortable under my feet. I like the material it is made of too, making it easier to keep it clean. Definitely something needed in the kitchen! The design and quote goes nicely with my decor, adding character to the kitchen. I love the squish and it really helps for longer periods of standing!

Wooden Standing Pumpkins for Fall Decor

   I love all things pumpkin and Fall, so seeing this Wooden Pumpkin Patch stand makes my heart happy! It's simple yet cute, and can be versatile to match any household decor. You can paint or stain it, or just leave it as is! The wood is smooth, shaped and sanded well, without slivers or sharp pieces. The bottom of the stand shows where each pumpkin is screwed in, so you could probably rearrange them if needed, or take it apart for storage. I love the simplistic feel to this piece. It's so very cute, I can't wait to decorate with it this Fall!

   Where do you think the perfect place for this stand of pumpkins would sit? I'm thinking on the mantel or on top of a bookshelf!

Said to have 83% noticeably firmer, more supple skin in 4 Weeks, the Murad Retinol Youth Renewal Night Cream is a helpful face care product made. It is made with Retinol Tri-Active Technology to help decrease fine lines and wrinkles; and Niacinamide and Picolinamide to strengthen the skins protective barrier.

   I have tried a handful of Murad products and loved them all! Though the Murad Retinol Youth Renewal Night Cream didn't quite make it on my list of Murad products I love, it's almost up there. I didn't find this product to keep it's moisturizing tendencies... My face felt very dry after use. It rubbed in nice and creamy but seemed to disappear quickly. It hasn't caused any breakouts so that's good, and I'm hoping over time, I will see better results. But currently, I have to apply a second moisturizer over-top, to keep my skin feeling good.

Gloss Leaf - Collagen Iced Tea Peach - 

I really wanted to like this tea, but I felt that it was a bit too sweet and odd tasting. It's definitely better cold than room temperature, but I would suggest it being made less sweet.

 

Moon Cheese - Cheddar Bacon Me Crazy - 

I love the name of these treats. Moon Cheese makes me think of Wallace and Gromit and that makes me happy! The first taste of these cheese balls was interesting, but they slowly got addicting. They have a strong cheddar flavor and a nice crunch. But eating too many makes me feel sick lol.

 

Zolli Candy - Boss Baby Limited Edition ZolliPops - 

 These fun lollipops have a nice flavor and they're apparently better for your teeth! They're long lasting as a lollipop should be, and kids will love them. I think they would be perfect for giving out at Halloween!

 

Zen of Slow Cooking - Tuscan Spice Blend - 

 I have yet to use this product, because it's said to use it in a slow cooker, which I don't have. I will have to experiment with it to see what I can make with it! But I like that all the spices are ready in one packet.

Aroma Naturals - Lavender Beauty Oil - 

 I love experiencing new body oils and this one seems great so far. It has a very faint scent and absorbs into my skin well, leaving it soft and moisturized.

 

South of France - Orange Blossom Honey Soap - 

 I love this scent of this soap and the softness it feels to my skin. It lathers really well and washes off easily. My only wish is that it was a bit bigger and longer lasting!

Natrapel® - Lemon Eucalyptus Insect Repellent - 

This is my second time receiving this in my Goodie Box, and I've finally gotten to put it to use. The product has a decent scent, though pretty strong and causes a headache. It's also very sticky. I sprayed it while outside, and though I didn't see any mosquitoes come near me, it did attract a bee that would not leave me alone! So I'm on the fence about this product lol.

   I loved getting to try out all these products and learned of some new ones I've never seen before. What product do you think would be your favorite? Mine was probably the Moon Cheese, just because it was an exciting new treat!
