Yeast Free Fried Dough Balls (Wannabe Donut Holes)

If you are craving fried bread, or donut holes, you have to try this recipe! I found it over at Sugar Spun Run and have made it multiple times since. However, we often eat them without any topping, so they become just little fried dough balls! They are sooo good and really easy to make! To make these scrumptious little bits, you need the following ingredients:

 1 tsp Salt
2 cups Flour
3 Tbsp Sugar
1 Tbsp Baking Powder
5 Tbsp cold Butter
3/4 cup Milk
Oil for Frying

To begin, heat your oil for frying, then gather the ingredients. The instructions say to combine the dry ingredients together before you cut in the butter with a pasty mixer, but if you're anything like me, I just throw all the ingredients into a bowl, form it into a dough, and call it good haha. You want the dough to have a nice consistency so you may have to roll it around in flour until it reaches that point. You then will be able to roll the dough into balls and they're ready for frying!

You can fry several balls at a time, and they cook pretty quickly. You want them to be a nice golden color so make sure you cook them until they are otherwise you might have literal "dough balls" haha. Once they are thoroughly fried, pull them from the oil and drain on a plate covered in paper towels. You can then decide if you want to eat them plain, or roll them around in a cinnamon sugar or powdered sugar mixture.

These little balls make a yummy snack and they're fun for the whole family to enjoy. Your little ones might even have fun helping roll out the dough balls! Enjoy!
