Present Danger - Book Review

Present Danger by Elizabeth Goddard is a romantic suspense dealing with mystery from every angle. It all starts with finding a body in the middle of a forested area, which leads to a US Forest Service Special Agent and a former FBI agent, now detective, working together on the case. With a history together, things are awkward, but they leave their past behind to focus on the current case. From murders and archeological artifact trafficking, to relationships and loved ones, this book is full of suspense and situations to look forward to what comes next.

I really enjoyed reading Present Danger, getting to know each character and hearing how each person was connected to the other. Every chapter was full of suspense, unloading a piece of the puzzle, of who was who and what would follow each step. While I was reading, it felt like I was right there with the characters, searching for clues, trying to solve the case. The ending was quite a surprise, which made this read perfect, as it was unpredictable and never what I expected! It was so good. I highly recommend!
